Anyone else enjoy getting the beagles out and running rabbits?

Now we are talking, no better sound.. Love going down south Oklahoma and run swamp rabbits. Never really liked to eat them. I guess its the joy of the hunt. Always liked blue tick beagles my self. You??

i've got a pair of ridgeback puppies... want them to hunt hog, but they love chasing rabbits too... will have to break them of that soon, hehe..

3 years ago my dad came across a guy who wanted to get rid of 2 beagle pups. One of them was born without toes on one foot. The guy was just going to dump them so my dad took them both and brought them to me. Turned out to be great rabbit dogs. Dad as 2 males, I have 2 females, and I am trying to get the neighbors male (they are moving).

We actually got into several rabbits at the Lexington Public grounds.

The kids love going out with the dogs. Great way to get kids interested in hunting. Plus you can't ask for a much better all around dog.

I used to go rabbit hunting all the time with beagles. That was some of the most fun hunting I have ever done. Rabbits are probably the easiest game to clean; and they are quite tasty fried up!!! When my son gets a few years older I will probably get a couple beagles and go hunting again.

I have three beagles. I guess I was tired of the peace and quite. I have one male and two females. One of my females is getting knocked up as we speak.

I only hunt rabbits after deer rifle season. Any one wanna go?

I am not running them now to hot. However I am doing some traing just to keep them using their noses through the summer.

If you keep that invitation open till December, I'll be glad to meet up somewhere and run the dogs..

I run from December to March 15. THe invite is always open. One day last year we had 13 dogs strung out over 50 yards running 2 rabbits. It was the greatest sound on the face of the earth. We sacked up 20 that day between 5 hunters
