What is the typical course of fire for a bowling pin match?
I've never shot or seen one.

Five pins on a table you shoot all of them, when the last pin hits the floor your time stops. You shoot 6 tables of five pins through out the your worst score.Lowest time wins
What are the ranges?
I've noticed people saying that the 9mm has trouble knocking down pins...any truth to that?

Distance is is about 45 ft . The nine works well because of it's velocity.
The pins set up is different for 9mm 40 cal and 45
It's makes it pretty equal.

$12.00 entry and payback is $2.00 times shooters.
Basically, If 100 people compete, Michael Brown will be $200 richer (minus his entry fee).

bowling pins seem to put up quite a fight against the 9mm, 40S&W and 45ACP, it's when you break out the 50AE that those little things start to cry.

I think I'm going this coming Friday. If anyone from Tulsa is interested, you can come to OKC and we can carpool over to Hinton.

that's a looooong drive from Tulsa to go bang some bowling pins. i'd have to get a weekend pass from the wife to make it out there for a couple of days.

We need to try and get a local range to set one up to shot bowling pins here.

I agree. I would like to see one of these matches and maybe even get in on the action sometime :)
Wonder what it would take to get one of the local ranges to set something like this up? With all the bowling alleys around here, I'm sure we could talk them into letting us have all their used pins. I use to have 2 cases of used bowling pins here at the house :)
