View Full Version : First Time 3-D shooting today...
I went to a 3-D archery range today, out near Big-Cabin. I have never shot on a 3-D range before....talk about a humbling experience. It's one thing to sit in a stand, use a range finder to sight in various positions and wait. It's a WHOLE other thing to shoot uphill, downhill, through trees, kneeling, leaning, having to judge distances, etc. I felt like a boob (can I say boob here?) after I was done. I LOST 2 arrows and destroyed another by hitting a rock. AAARRRGGGHHH.
I can't wait to go again!!!! :)

Need to visit the tulsa archery club, its nice they have about 15-20 different stands with various targets around them. They are pretty reasonable on there prices, last time I went I got several passes to go there to find out if I wanted to join.
Where is Tulsa Archery Club? I would like to try it.

Here you go
Grew up in Tulsa, moved to Verdigris about 16 years ago. I use Claremore because our mailing address is Claremore and I always have to explain where Verdigris is.
Me: I live in Verdigris
Them: Oh, where's that?
Me: About halfway between Claremore and Catoosa.
Them: Oh, you live in Claremore?
Me: Uh......yeah, Claremore.

LOL I was born and raised in good ole Claremore, And yes I know were verdgris is.
The only down fall to the archery place is some of the tree stands are difficult to enter do to the incline of the ladders on them with out help to retrieve you bow.
But last time I was there i left a suggestion that they need to add hoist and pulleys for shooters who come alone.
