Tried my best at being a coach and I need some help for my GF. She is still trying to close one eye when she shoots, so I'm trying to teach her to shoot with both eyes open and to be right eye dominant. Any tips or pointers?

Yeah...let me take her out to my private range for a day and I'll fix that bad eye.....

She has a preference for men who don't wear heels so you're out...... :)

ARRRRRRGH!
Is she right handed/left eye dominant?
She can try turning her head slightly perdendicular to the target.
Picture an isoceles stance.
Now turn your head until your chin just touches your shoulder....either way.
This is the best way I can describe correction for cross dominance right now.
The tilt doesn't always have to be extreme but just enough to correct.
That way you can keep both eyes open and still actually use them both.

I changed my eye dominance through dry-fire.
I have no scientific explanation for it but I found that with extensive dryfire with both eyes open and intense concentration on the front sight, I became right eye dominant over time.
YMMV.

I've made her practice on a spot on the wall but I think she gets a little impatient and won't do it for an extended amount of time. Either way I'll have her practice more.... :thumb:

Try putting s little but of grease or oil on the left lens of her shooting glasses. Just enough to make it hard to see clear through.

The easiest way I have found is to practice shooting Iron Sights with a rifle. It's nearly impossible to use your left eye. It worked for me.
