Oil Capital IDPA’s August match is coming up Saturday the 26th. 8:30 set-up, 9:30 sign-in, 10 AM walk-thru. We plan to get you gone by 1 PM or so. I have provision for up to 5 squads, to keep things moving. As always, the AC is on in the range building and cold water is in the building, as well as on the stages.
Okay,I guess this is where I throw down.....
Is anyone besides Eric and Jerry gonna beat me this time?
:anyone:
Anyone shooting ESP gonna beat me?
:anyone:
Doubtful....

Jp, I Think Jerry Is Recovering From A Nasty Flesh Wound, And I Am Currently Looking At My Glock 34 On Life Support. Now Whats Your Excuse For Not Taking Match Overall This Time???

My excuse?
You. :)
I had a crappy day starting out and really didn't expect to do as well as I did.
My hands were shaking like Parkinson's (literally) for the first 3 stages.
Incidentally,I didn't pull a bender the night before that match so right there is 90% of my game down the sh!tter.

This Next Match Is All You Man.
Well,well,well.....
I haven't seen the results from today but I have a feeling I got my ass handed to me...BAD!
I had a horrible match but I did have lots of fun despite the heat.

I went but just watched this time. I definitely will shoot next time but will get killed!! I met JP - I wouldn't want to go up against him in a gun fight - very good! Tams was fun to watch and Eric is just plain intimidating! I need to figure out what gun I have that would be best and get a non-leather holster and some mag holders. More people should go out - everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
I had a lot of fun today aside from the heat. I was doing pretty well I think, until two little problems decided to arise. Now, where are those results? On one particular course I really could have used lets say ummmmm at least a 10" drop in barrel..............

I missed you out there. Which course did you have problems with?
Oh, bulboy I think I seen you (wearing an OSA t-shirt) I meant to say something but was in route to another course and had my wife and dad with me. I'm sorry now that I didnt take the time to say something. I was thinking well I'll just catch him when we're done. Needless to say I forgot.

Yeah, I was wearing a white OSA shirt and black OSU hat. Did your wife and dad shoot?
Good to meet you too bulbboy.
I didn't realize it was you even though you told me. :bigeye:
Hey...it was early and I *wasn't* hungover. ;)
I missed you out there. Which course did you have problems with?
I had problems with *every* *single* *stage*
I sucked major azz today!
Hey....at least I didn't shoot the cable this time. :hyper:

Dad didnt shoot. Just watched. He's not able to do all the kneeling, running, ect. (needs a knee scoped and is just coming off of Chemo and is not real strong) The wife actually came to take photos (she's a photographer) but didnt tell me until she was there that she wasnt feeling well and would be just watching instead of running around in the heat shooting pics. Oh well. They had fun anyway.

Shoot a Glock G17 or G19
Ready Tactical makes the best gear but he is doing some screwy sh!t with his orders right now,so I wouldn't order from him until things settle down.
I do happen to have a Ready-Tac Glock holster for sale in the classifieds.
Fits G17/19/22/23/31/32
The smaller ones will fit as well but there will just be empty space in the holster.
you're right,everyone should come out!
We have a ball!!!!!

Does any shoot G23's out there? Most of my guns are smaller carry guns the only ones that would probably work: G23 or Sig P229 Equinox (.40) nothing really with a longer barrel or 9mm. Probably shoot the G23 -

What are the different classifications? I noticed one guy there shooting a revolver - is there normally a revolver class?

I sometimes shoot a G23 and do very well with it.

FWIW,
I'm working on posting the scores right now.....

right now she really just does it on the side. It started out like anything else "as a hobby". She had been told for YEARS by family and friends alike that she should start up a business. Well she finally just did it. http://tonyasmodernimages.com/
She doesnt have any where near uploaded to her webpage what she has done. The web page is pretty amature but it was her first and she did it without any help. So all in all I dont think she did bad. She doesnt keep her page updated like she should, but I'm not really sure just how much business is created from the site. Most of her business is just by word of mouth.

I doubt any of you sucked as bad as I did. But I had a whole lot of fun, in spite of the heat, and met a bunch of great people. It will definately be a regular thing for me from now on and maybe in a couple of hundred years I will be good enough to have some bragging rights. And thanks a lot to all of you who offered friendly advise.
