I guess it's no secret that I'm a big fan of Hand Cannons. :) I'm a big guy and can handle quite a bit of kick.
Here's some pictures of our recent testing of a new barrel.
Here's me firing my Thompson Encore with 300 Win Mag barrel and Holographic sight. The sight proved to be worthless since it kept moving around under the recoil. You can get it on the paper, and a few shots later it would drift off. Finally gave up trying to keep up with it.

Here's my friend getting all the guns lined up for firing.

Here's my Encore with the Remington 260 barrel on it. I love this barrel... it's a full bull 12 3/4 inch custom barrel by BullBerry and is extremely accurate for such a short barrel. It has a nice kick to it so you know when you've fired. I dialed it in on the 100 yard bench rest range, and was able to get some nice groups. We had no problems hitting the 200 and 300 yard targets, so I moved out to the 500 yard range off the hill with the little silhoette targets. Unfortunately I ran out of ammo sighting in the scope but was within inches so I'm confident it'll "plink" out at 500 yards. :)

Here's a shot of my friend Rick experiencing the recoil of the 260. Tried to time the photograph with the shot but couldn't get it quite perfect.

All in all we had fun out there, and spent close to 6 hours firing off rounds. I shot 80 rounds of 260, and about the same in 300 Win Mag. I also fired about 30 rounds through my H&K 40 USP with custom target barrel to keep my skills honed. After shooting my Encore, the 40 caliber feels like shooting a toy gun. haha.
