I recently picked up my first Sig, a model 239 in 9mm. I had lusted after a Sig for some time after shooting them at work and spending some time with a Sig that my son owns. After a few sessions with the pistol, I can report that the Sig is really a fine weapon. The double action on the pistol is one of the easiest to deal with that I have tried.

Field stripping the weapon is as easy as a Glock. Accuracy is excellent and it shot up all the old ammo, new junk ammo, and top quality JHP that I threw at it. I think it is a keeper.

Welcome to the Sig family. I got a lot of crap from all my friends when I sold my Glock to buy a 226. One of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm sure you'll be more than happy with your 239.

I have a 239 in 9mm that I carry in a vm2 that I just love. It is my favorite shooting 9mm. I'm pretty accurate with it. Recoil is almost non-existant with the hogue grips.

You got a 239? Well, Mr. Fancy Pants, why don't you just lord it over the rest of us! :D

Where did you get your 239? I bought mine from Outdoor America for $519.95. They have gone up in price alot since then.

I got it from Mastiff Arms in Collinsville. They have gone up a lot since you bought yours. Adding the Hogue grips definitely improved the "feel" of the pistol although I was shooting OK with the stock grips.

Yes, sigs have gone up like $100 and more for their guns I've noticed. I bought my GSR for $929, and I"ve seen them priced at $1,150!

I was on the sig website and the have a new 239 SAS coming out in .40 that looks really cool. The new 239 DAK is coming out soon too. I am almost tempted to sell my 239 to get one of those bad boys!

Had one a year or so back and had to sale it. Looking to replace it. They are nice, I really liked mine. I have a P229 in 40s&w and the best shooting sig I have had in my hands.

I may have to break down and get a Sig. I've never owned one, but everybody else seems to love them.

Yes. They were at a gun show in OKC and had the 239 I wanted. I thought their price was pretty good.

Have to agree my sig p229 is the best gun I have ever owned. I too got a lot of crap about buying one but wouldn't give it up for anything. But I have always wanted a 1911 and when I heard that sig makes them I have wanted to know more about them.

I really..... and I mean REALLY wish they'd make one in 9mm. The only thing that irritates me about Sig is that they only offer their cool stuff in .40 cal.
