Put this in here because it is related soley to my supressor, and I figure the Full-Auto guys being NFA addicts (can you have just one?) would also be the most likely to have supressors as well.

Where is the best place to pick up subsonic 9mm ammo? I've never looked for it before as I just got my form 4 and Gemtech Raptor yesterday. Is there a good online source?

Thanks!
Rob

Any 147 gr. 9mm will work. I usually use Remington with my AAC Striker II. Sounds about like a paintball gun going off.

Are all 147gr. 9mm rounds subsonic due to being heavy? Just thought I was supposed to look for ammo specifically loaded to be subsonic... I should've done the research before the Raptor was HERE... but had a family member in the hospital.

Thanks for helping out the newb! :thumb:

I believe that most of them are. You might check out the respective manufacturer's website and see what ballistics they have listed. I've shot several different brands of 147gr. 9mm and I have'nt had any problem with it breaking the sound barrier at any temperature.

+1 on the www.silencertests.com recommendation.
