New SKS

Just a while back, I was asking for a price check on a Chinese SKS....

Well, I got it from a guy I work with. He had recently "rediscovered" it in his garage and didn't want it so he sold it to me.

It is a beautiful example of an SKS. It is a Norinco, all matching parts, exceptionally clean and really nice wood. It is so much nicer than an old Romanian SKS I used to own. I have been meaning to pick up another one lately as I stumbled accross a case of 7.62 ammo I had forgotten about. Now I have one!!!

Good score. I recently picked up a Yugo one. Didnt think that I'd ever get all the cosmoline off the thing!

You've got a good variety in there. A tool for every situation; e.g. hunt, protect, carry, etc.

the sks cosmline can be take off at the car wash with hot soap. but the yugo stuff is a lot harder to remove that most. just don't do you wood at the car wash. or soak in disel.
