Red Castle IDPA emails out the gate code, along with a match reminder, usually a day or so before the match. You can go to http://www.tulsashooters.com/ periodically to check for the gate code. If something happens that the code isn't available to them in time to post, then they will place a Red Castle IDPA staff person at Zink Ranch gate location to assist in getting competitors in.
That same Tulsa Shooters website is the place to go for Red Castle and Oil Capital match nfo (both IDPA and IPSC). Scores to both are posted there. Maps to both facilities, etc. Good links to other Tulsa area shooting events too.

Exit off US 412 @ 129 West Ave to the "new" OK 97, headed north to Zink Ranch. When you (finally) get to the end of OK97, you are at the entrace to Zink Ranch; still about 4 miles to go inside the ranch.
Do NOT take old 97 thru Sand Springs, unless you want a 10 minutes longer drive.
Remember, look for first exit west of Sand Springs, 129th West Ave.
this Sat. at Red Castle? I think I'll try the Sig P228 this match

So do you guys help a new IDPA shooter learn the ropes at the Red Castle match? I've shot IPSC since March or so and want to shoot IDPA as well.
Everyone is always willing to help.
Great bunch of folks.

Sounds like a good place to shoot then. I may drive up tomorrow and try IDPA. I'll study up a little on the rules tonight so I won't be too much trouble for anyone. thanks.

I've looked at the web site for the gate code and do not see it yet, so if I drive up, someone will be there to let us in tomorrow?

I did poorly as well but enjoyed meeting you and shooting IDPA for my first time. I enjoy shooting both USPSA and IDPA so I'll definitely be back and am going to try to make Oil Capital too. Everyone was very helpful in our squad today, now if I can remember to quit dropping mags on the ground that still have rounds in them and how to "slice the pie", I might do better next time. :) Of course, watching the sights and putting the rounds on the target will help too.
I was the NEW new guy at Red Castle Saturday and realy enjoyed the session. I had a lot of help from everyone and really appreciated the help since this was my first try at this type of shooting. THANKS

pstmstr,
give us a rundown on the differences between the two, from your perspective and how your 1st idpa match was.
Will it complement my ipsc ability or just confuse me? Remember its me were talking about.

If you can chew bubble gum and play the cymbals at the same time, then you can learn to shoot both. Trigger time, in a match setting, is very good trigger time.

Ole Yeller,
You're a good USPSA shooter as compared to my sub standard normal performance. Besides the obvious, vest or other cover garment, you have to retain mags unless you are slide lock, engage the targets from behind cover as they appear or "slicing the pie" as I heard it called. The target must be neutralized by hits in the slightly smaller A zone. You don't shoot as many rounds as most USPSA stages and there wasn't as much movement in the stages required. I think you'd enjoy both, it is more real world type shooting scenarios. I think I'm going to give it a try again next Saturday at Oil Capital if you want to go up with me. I think that's as complete a novice overview as I can provide now. As another member said, any trigger time is a good time, USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, my golf clubs keep gathering dust since I've gotten into this shooting stuff.

Thanks for the compliment, but I have had coaching. So its not like you cant improve faster if you took some lessons.
I very well may get hold of you; even though I promised my wife one whole month of weekends after I got back from the nationals. -which was fun, by the way.
