Oil Capital IDPA's year-round season continues with a match this Saturday, September 23. The COF is the IDPA Classifier. Non-IDPA members can join at the match, or can join IDPA thru its official web. COF and application at this link: http://www.idpa.com/ The match events card reads: 8:30 set-up, 9:30 sign-in, 10 AM walk-thru. We'll have the chronograph and the official "weight of gun" scales out, so you can check your ammo and gun to be sure it is "legal."

it really depends on how many shooters and how the stages are broken down. It's been awhile since i have participated. I always helped break everything down after the match. It was sometimes 5 or 5:30

Oil Capital built 4 new shooting bays late last fall. Since we built them, we have always finished shooting by 3 PM, often as early as 1 PM. The additional bays have considerably helped to speed up matches, while providing the opportunity for neater COF's. We can also handle about double the number of shooters previously, but still get done plenty early.

"All hands help tear down." Most anywhere you go to shoot local IDPA and IPSC matches, all shooters are expected to help tear down and put away the stages. With many hands, the task is accomplished quickly. Fellow competitors will tend to become irked at those who dash and leave the rest of the squad to do the teardown. Those who shirk the duty and jet are subject to not having their scores calculated. Shooters can be excused to leave for reasonable cause, without helping tear down, by the match director.
