What capacity is competitive in Limited?

Title says it all. How many rounds do you think you need to be have a chance in IPSC Limited?

I know all of you that have seen me shoot will say I'll need a switch to a G17 with G18 mags or something like that. So ha ha I already beat you to making fun of me. :D

It really depends on the stage and where you choose to reload, my mags will hold 20 plus one. Most stages will be 22-26 rounds so you just have to decide where would be best for you.

A lot depends upon individual stage design. If there are reload points between shoot boxes, mucho capacity mags aren't essential. If the stage designeer has declared it all one big shoot area, then you DO need the big caps.

USPSA rules for Limited restrict mag length max to 140mm (170mm for single stacks.) See the USPSA website for their method of measuring mag length.

Limited is pretty much ruled by the bull-barreled .40 S&W double stack STI/SV style guns. I still have fun playing in that pond with my G35 and stock hi cap magazines.

Id say 18 or 19 per mag and you aint losing much.

I was guessing I would need in the high teens at least. I guess I'll just stick with Limited 10. Thanks :)
