[MAJ MALFUNCTION]

Put a few hundred rounds through the gun this weekend (zeroing and 3-gun match) and it performed flawlessly (all rounds were suppressed, using an M4-2000 and PRI gas buster charging handle).

Here are some take-away's from my first time running the Noveske Switchblock:

-Gas-in-da-face: Didn't notice any "gassing" at all. I went through quite a few mags in quick succession and it was just like running an unsuppressed AR.

-Carbon build-up/fouling in the upper receiver & bolt/bolt carrier: The bolt/bolt carrier/upper receiver all looked just like an unsuppressed DI gun would look after the amount of rounds that went through the gun this weekend (see pic below).

-Carbon/fouling in the magazine: Really impressed with how much cleaner the ammo was on the suppressed Switchblock, compared to how it normally is on a suppressed AR (see pic below).

-Reliability: 500, or so, rounds isn't any kind of torture test, but the gun ran strong all weekend and the action didn't need any oil or other lubricant to help keep it working.

One thing to look out for, though - the "switch" gets hot as hell after a couple of mags (duh) and with the rail cut away around it, it's REEAAAALLLLLLLLLY easy to accidentally put your off hand thumb on it while you're shooting.


I'll keep running it in training & matches and see how it does over time.

As soon as the LWRC adjustable piston gun gets here we'll do a head-to-head between these two.
