Need help posting pics

Tried to post some pics, I got a message about file size too large. I checked properties on some of the other pictures posted (Kelly's hand cannon) and the file size was larger than the limit stated in the error message. What am I doing wrong?

The only limit is on the size of Avatars that you upload. Those I believe are 100x100 pixels max. (That's so they don't overrun the left sidebar.)

The pictures I posted are by using the IMG tag. All you need is to have your picture out on the web someplace for that to work, then surround the URL to it with a and tag with no spaces.

Does that help at all?

I tried to upload them as attachments directly from my hard drive. With that method the limit was stated as 97K. I haven't tried using an online image hosting service. It appears that that is my problem.

I had to downsize pics to load them directly from my PC.
They appear as thumbs that click to enlarge.

I've been using http://www.imgspot.com .

Just click browse, locate your picture, then hit Host It!.

It will give you a list of links to copy/paste. I copy the one listed as BBCode and paste it into the thread I'm typing.
