I just got my Advantage Arms upper in the mail today for my extra G26.

I have one G26 that I use for CC and now I have the other that serves as a dedicated .22LR for target shooting. They both look and feel just a like (aside from a very slight weight difference). 9mm is cheap to practice with, but .22 is even better.

I think I'm going to take it to H and H tomorrow afternoon. If you're off work, you can take it for a test drive.

Excellent!
i was going to get a 9mm conversion barrel for my g23 but i think i'll just wait and get the AA kit instead.
Keep us posted about it.
I've heard that they can have teething problems but nothing that can't be fixed.

The manual said no Federal or PMC. I have about 1500 rds of federal. My P22 and 10/22 love that cheap stuff.

They recommend Remington Golden Bullets. I have about 500 of those, but they are the HP version. I'm hoping the AA will swallow those HPs. If not I'll by a brick of the regular Remington Golden.

Kevins_garage on GT has new in box AA conversion kits for $230 shipped. Not a bad deal. Most places charge $245 +shipping.

The LE kit has the exact same slide shape and uses factory glock adjustable sites.

Well, did you make it? We need a range report. :gun1:

I have an AA for my 34 and just love it. One thing I've noticed, it is more reliable with copper-plated ammo than lead. The lead ammo tends to not feed as well.

Shot it today. I didn't have the recommended ammo. I just used the HPs that I had. I had about 4 failures in 100 rounds. Based on the info I read at GT, that is a pretty good rate. I'm going to try some different ammo and see if it improves. Regardless, it felt great and was very accurate. Not a bad way to spend $1.18 (2 boxes of ammo).

I didn't know you could get .22 slide for the 26, that is pretty cool.

Thanks alot, Dr.Baker, I want a 26 even more now!

.22 may be the way to go now that gas is so high!!

Due to the high gas prices, I've been sharing a ride with the Mrs. I'm off at 4p and she is off at 5:30p. I'm right by H and H so I kill my time in there. It's cheaper for me to shoot .22lr than it is to drive a second vehicle. Gotta stay economical.

I've had the best luck with American Eagle
