Since there's only 1 thread in here I figured I'd show n tell about my little wheelgun. Its a Ruger Blackhawk 41 Magnum. It has a 44 magnum grip frame, 44 mag limited laminated grips and a beaver tail hammer on it. The gun has been polished so the action is nice and light. Not too light so that its dangerous but a good 3lbs-ish light.
And come on people....surely there more than just a couple of us with wheelguns??

Of course there are. I have a j frame for deep concealment. No pics,as it's pretty darn vanilla.

ive got a couple wheelguns. i have no battery for the digicam, and the cable that hooks it up to the pc grew legs. i wish i would have kept my j frame.
that was a big mistake parting with it.
Nice Blackhawk!
Wheelguns are really my favorite but I find autos more practical.
Have you cooked up and 41 Specials yet?
When I used to hand load,I would load 41 Specials.
Cut the case down to 44special length and download the powder (over a 210gr LSWC).
I don't remember the exact specs off the top of my head but it can be found if you are interested.

Don't really mess with specials. This is sometimes a primary weapon for deer season so we (me n my dad) stick with the magnum loads. Lets see, 17.5 grs of 2400 powder, shoot a 210 gr swc. We cast our own lead bullets n everything. Well, my dad does that stuff. I just shoot it. :wink2:
My dad went deer huntin during rifle season once with his 41 magnum and his 357/44 magnum (44 mag necked down to a 357....like a 30/30 only its out of a 7 3/4" barrel :wink2:) He came across these couple guys huntin and they asked him "hey did you lose your rifle?" He said "nope" and then he showed them his shoulder holstered 41mag and his 357/44 on his hip. He said the guys were like..... :bigeye:
Here's a link that tells a little about the 357/44 magnum. :uberblast

Yeah my dad has always been a Ruger guy because the 357/44 Bane and Davis cartridge has broken a few S&W's frames, they're not strong enough to handle that kind of power. So, like father like son. Give me a Ruger Blackhawk and put the 44mag grip frame/ grips and beaver tail hammer on it and dang its a sweet shootin gun!!

Hey DogBoy,
Fraid I don't know much about the snake. Other that it was a python named Colt.
He'd sure make a nice pair of boots!
(and matching holster)
