+1. We would need a good place to do this.

Sounds good to me. I agree that location is going to be the key to success here.

It looks like that most of us is around OKC area. So I would say somewhere around there.
What is everyone going to bring?
I know you can shoot long guns in H&H but I don't know about FA 556's. I shot my JAWS there no problem. Don't know about AOW S-S 12 ga.
I will be out of town for about 30 days.
.22 JAC on my AC556
45 Auto JAWS
S-S 12 Ga.
and cans

Nothing against H&H but I think an outdoor range would be much better for something like this. Banner has more lanes and much longer ones.
DrBaker
01-21-2007, 10:26 AM
H and H has a speed limit for rifle calibers and no longer allows non shoulder fired shotgun use. Banner has a speed limit on everything.
We need somewhere that allows rapid fire.
MarkV
01-21-2007, 10:28 AM
I thought you could rapid fire at Banner just not all the time every time?

NFA Spring (Bullet) Fling
We wouldn't be able to enjoy "all" of the NFA items.

Oh. I'm not cool enough to own such things so I don't think like that. :D

I'm far from cool, but I love me some full auto.:nutkick:
Suppressors and most of the shorty stuff should be fine anywhere. The full auto and stockless shottys are more restricted.
[I've used pistol gripped shotguns at H and H for years, but a few months ago they told me they don't allow them anymore:censored: ]

What about Wyanodotte in NE Okla?
I've never been there. I believe that is the location of the "Big" shoot every year??
Is it a public range or do special arrangements need to be made?

If nothing else we can shoot what we can and let everyone look at the other toys.
Might see something you might want or make!!!!!!!
If we cant find some place to shoot FA it is ok with me but I will bring them with me just so someone can take a look at!!!!!!

And I'll remember to bring a towel to prevent drool from getting on them!! I know a FA owner who also teaches a CCW class on his land. I might ask him about where to shoot. If y'all can't find somewhere.

Several months ago, Tom at the Firing Pin said he was going to open an outdoor long range. If it's open, I'm sure he would rent us the entire range for a day for a cheap price.

Just throwing this out!!!!
It looks like the hold up is someplace to shoot Rifle cal. F/A.
Do we have to shoot Rifle cal. at this time?????
Where can we shoot R/C F/A??????
I would like a place where we can have a lot of people not just the NFA'ers. Might get some new NFA'ers out of the deal.

Here's a possibility...........
Me, WetWork, coorsman_ok, and another are looking at going to the range by Lake Murray on the 15th of this month. coorsman_ok is going to call the game warden on Monday to confirm that we won't have any problems running full auto. If the gw says "go" and the weather permits, we will be unleashing the NFA toys.
Anybody interested in joining in on the fun?
