I need another Glock. Thinking about a G38. Has anybody tried the 45gap?

What did you think of it?

I would love one but ammo is too scarce for it to be considered seriously.

I was gonna buy a Springfield that used the GAP round recently, but I just keep hearing that the popularity isn't taking off like they expected. I would rather stick with a round that's proven itself and the 45ACP has defintely. :)

I have no doubts about the ballistics of the round.
Hell,i'm sold on it,but where do you get ammo?
It's too scarce and expensive for me to replace the .40 or 9mm.

Stepper said that Outdoor America has 45gap for the same price as 45acp.

About $9.99 per box.

I really would like to see a 1911 in one as that's my prefered platform, however the purists throw a hissy fit and literally start crying if you mention it on 1911forums. I'm not holding my breath.

But what kind of variety and for how long?
It's just around that's going to have to prove itself in a big way before i invest in it.

It doesn't do any good to need a round that isn't as available or it priced too high in comparison. It may be the same price now, but what about a year from now?
