Default Anyone ever heard of Arminius handguns?

My boss just gave me this gun he didn't want sitting around the house anymore. Someone gave it to him when he was in college and he has never fired it and it made him nervous to keep around the house, so I offered to take it off his hands (even a bad gun deserves a home). Its an Arminius 6 shot .38 revolver (made in Germany). Has anyone ever heard of this company- Good? Decent? Crappy? I'm just curious about it. thanks.

I didn't know they made a 38 revolver.The were made from about the 1920's thru the 1970's. It's a good "here,you want this"? gun.

Here's a website with most/all of their models that they produced. Maybe you can pinpoint what model it is.

I've read on alot of sites that their supposedly a high quality German revolver and not junk. But of course I don't know anything about them personally.

The Arminus of old are cheap, cast revolvers , not unlike the RGs. They were the very gun, along with the RGs that epitomized the Saturday Night Special of the 60s and 70s.

From what i can tell the newer ones are actually decent. If I recall correctly, the EAA Windicators are Arminus designs. The similarity to the older ones in design and form is striking, but the materials are leaps and bounds better.
