Default Winchester SXZ ammo

I received a Bass Pro flyer yesterday advertising a new Winchester SXZ pistol ammo. I am not familiar with it. I checked Winchester's website and didn't find the product listed in their handgun ammo section. Anyone have any experience with it or info?

Nope, it's SXZ, and it's exclusive to Bass Pro Shops...It's basically just regular ammo with that Lubalox coating on it. It's supposed to be super clean, and cuts way down on copper fouling.

I saw those the other day. They had target and self defense rounds. I think a box of 50 (of the self defense loads) was around $15. Not a bad price, but they only had 115 grain bullets for the 9mm. I might try some anyway.

I bought some to give them a try in my P-01/M&P9. They were $15 for the SXZ9 115gr JHP and I believe $11 for the 115gr 'training' rounds.

Oh...that's what those were. I was in BP a couple of days ago, and took a passing glance at the poster they had up. I saw the pic of goopy-looking black "Training" bullets, and wondered if Bass Pro had started selling simunitions...

Yea hard to tell the difference by looking at the box. One just has "PERSONAL PROTECTION" on it, while the other one has "TRAINING" or something like that
