Bill introduced to repeal Presidential term limits?
It appears that Democrat Representative Jose Serrano of New York has introduced legislation, H.J. RES 5,
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=hj111-5
which would repeal the 22nd amendment that limits Presidents to 2 terms. Why are we, the people of the United States of America, putting these minded people in office?

Re: Bill introduced to repeal Presidential term limits?
Really doesn't matter we will probably never have a president popular enough to win more then two terms.
Go ahead and appeal it.

Re: Bill introduced to repeal Presidential term limits?
An amendment to the constitution cannot be repealed by a simple bill...unless it wins 2/3rds of both houses (not going to happen) AND if 3/4 of the state legislatures ratify it (and everyone knows that there are way more than 12 state legislatures that would vote that crap down). Sooo....sounds just like another pointless bill from an kool-aid drinker

What is the point of even introducing these things?

Re: Bill introduced to repeal Presidential term limits?
Don't you guys remember Hugo Chavez was one of the first (maybe even the first) foreign dignitary B.O. visited? Do you remember the photo of these two bossom chums yukin' it up like they both have finnally realized a mutual life long goal?? They looked to me like two men sharing a big seceret no one else knows about. Just giddy they were. Guess now we know the secret.

Re: Bill introduced to repeal Presidential term limits?
Who cares? Every democRAT is worse than the one before, and every Repugnant has moved so far to the middle that it's like voting for a democRAT all over again.
What's the difference? True conservatives no longer have a voice in presidential candidates.
Or am I wrong?

Re: Bill introduced to repeal Presidential term limits?
Now if only we could get term limits on Congress - then we'd have progress.
