Awww c'mon, you're just jealous he gets to live like Robin Hood and we're stuck in the middle of nowhere with only meth heads who steal to fund their crank binges. This is the most badass sociopath I have ever heard of.

I find this story very hard to believe. If it's true he is being helped by someone or lots of someones. You know when he gets caught some liberal left coast judge will let him off easy.

Sounds like he deserves a time out. About 20 years ought to do it.

I believe he is just one of the FEW professional criminals, he sounds to me like a BADASS straight out of a diehard-esque movie, stole SMALL AIRCRAFT without ANY lessons whatsoever....that is ballsy I dont care what you say, you might be able to shoot him, but he can fly away!

Sociopath is the right word. Resourceful, very smart and physically capable with (apparently) no empathy. That's an extremely dangerous person - he'll either be a career criminal who's never really caught or a wildly successful CEO...maybe both...
He's no pissant punk, he's far more dangerous than that.

Re: America's #1 wanted fugitive: an 18 year old bandit
American (and the world for that matter) has always dramatized and romanced criminals who weren't blood-thirsty or violent towards their victims.
John Dillinger was one such person - he always took "the bank's money" and not the individuals that were at the bank. He has always been portrayed in movies as a super-nice "great guy".
Several of the old-west's career criminals were the same way. This kid is just a throw-back to those eras.
I personally don't agree with what he does - if he was in my house stealing, it would not be cool. But to be perfectly honest - at a time when our politicians, and financial giants on Wall street are stealing amounts much greater from the American people (including but not just limited to our current President)...
I don't honestly see how this kid is America's #1 criminal.

He's not #1, that was just the stupid headline.
Anyone who hasnt fantasized about doing what this kid is doing has a very boring imagination. Im not saying its right or condoning it, but it does sound kinda fun. He will get caught eventually, they know his name and what he looks like. That will get you every time.
The only reason DB Cooper was never caught.....nobody knows his real name, and they only have a police sketch artist drawing of him. And then there is the fact that maybe hes dead.

+1 I am tired of people sitting up on their high horse, how about our career politicians people give them a hand, they have successfully DESTROYED a once prosperous and FREE nation, we are now going to be under the SOCIALIST control of liberal spread the wealthers, this kid is just going after it himself, anyone who gets miffed about it, is honestly just a jealous ninny, jealous he gets to life the f*ckin life and we are stuck paying for everyone else's
