In the last two weeks, I have had two shot out of my pasture behind my house, doe and an 8 point. Within plain sight of my back door. And around one of my main huntin spots had a dead doe under my feeder this morning, bullet hole in the neck, dead doe in pasture Sunday, and a yearling by the road with backstraps cut out. Bunch of sorry sons of bitches around here.

That aint right by no means......., but it sounds to me like they are getting braver, and it'll catch up to them. I spoke with a guy in my area yesterday and evidentlly there is a bit of a poaching problem in my neck of the woods too.

It's SE OK, what did you expect? The hunting limits/seasons are shorter for a reason down here. I had never been around or even heard of anyone poaching until I moved to the SE corner of the state. I hear so many people openly talk about it and do it that it is just plain sicking. Then the ones that actually do take deer during one of the seasons don't check them. The ways of people down here are different than the rest of the state and it is something I will never grow to like or accept.

I absolutely DESPISE Poachers. My Brother and I have had the same hunting lease for 12 years now. We have spent thousands of dollars Planting Foodplots, Setting & Stocking Feeders, Scouting Trails and Managing the Herd only to find 2-3 Field Dressing piles a year.

Finally, Last year we caught an Older Gentelmen (Mid to Late 50's) and his 15 year old Grandson poaching on our lease last year. Grandson actually mistook me for a deer and took a shot at me as well (Even though I was Head to Toe in Blaze Orange). I was barely able to control my Fallujah Flashbacks and refrained from shooting the pair. (I am seriously worried what he is teaching the next generation of hunters).

Game Warden just so happened to drive down our road to check licenses 10 minutes later. All the Game Warden did was speak with the Gentlemen and assured me it would not happen again.

One Week later caught the same guy on my lease again (This time Vadalizing Our Stands & Feeders). Game Warden was called and pretty much He said if I was not the "Land Owner" filing the complaint that it would go now where. Had the "Land Owner" file a complaint and have not heard anything since last November.

If I catch him this year I will have to seriously control my temper, flashbacks and training as I will no doubt be tempted to permanently "STOP" his poaching country style.

I live near Tahlequah and I'm quite sure there are many poachers in my area,, HUNGRY" I can see killing to feed the family, but only cutting out the back strap is stupid,
alto there are the even stupidier, (killing for the rack)
I've seen 2 bucks in or near my property this month, if I hear a shot I'm sure to go running, I'd better never see anyone hunting on my place,
I have it posted for a reason, it's mine all mine.
If someone is on my property without my permission and carrying a weapon, wouldn't they be a threat to me.?
BAD SHOT..
