LOL Ive lived in Lawton most of my life... traveling to work and coming back. Worked at GY, Ft Sill most of the industrial facilitys here. It is rough(with alll those GI's running around) and of course theres that ...Prison...do you think its the only one ...You would be suprised where prisons are located.
Helens is on Cache Rd about 5 blocks from my house, and I live in a very Quiet neighborhood.

I joined ARFCOM several years ago. Got beat to hell on my first post which was just a question about a company to build a custom AR.

The internet tough guy syndrome hits hard when it comes to firearm related forums. Glad for the most part its not on here. AR15 sure proved on that thread they are full of moronic people who probably still live in mom and dad's basement.
Ive spent most my life in Lawton. People scared of lawton are scared of thier shadows and not from there. Its not that bad. Shiz happens but it happens most any where. Ive never had any problems in Helens before. Mater of fact I know the owner. Had may a beer in there and lived mabey a 5 minute walk from it. Been in every corner of that town and know it well. The only spot in that town I wouldnt go with out a gun and three loaded mags in the dark would be down in the view buy the airport. To much crap happens down there. That is Lawtons crap hole of crap holes.

Every town has those areas that are unwise to visit.
We seem to run most of them out of town pretty fast, e.g. redneck1861.
Usually a big forum without strict rules for language/flaming tends to weed out most of the toolbags, or at least drive them away before they become long-time members. Large gun boards like ARFCOM seem to be the exception. Granted I only read them when linked here, but there seems to be a large number of cubicle commandos stroking each others posts and nobody calling them on it.
BRB, loading up mags to go stand guard at my e-friends house 5 states away. Watch your six, and never rule out the preemptive strike.
