I've had a cat come by the stand a couple of times. I'm thinking she is pretty old, as there are almost no spots, and the belly is almost dragging the ground. Got pics a year ago of what looks like the same cat.
I don't target them until after the first of the year. The fur buyer I use, (kanokla) pretty much wont take them until then.

Have seen several this last week, better fur prices usually if taken after Christmas like Dennis posted. Okhunter, are you trapping or calling? Just curious:)

I will wait for January and February for serious calling. But I am a man of opportunity, if one presents itself while I am deer hunting in December its a target of opportunity.

I always hear about better fur prices later in the year but I'm not hunting them to make money. Just do it for the fun. I've sold a ton of cats over the years and to be honest, I don't see much difference in price if I hold them for auction. The prices are usually higher at the auction also.
Either way, I will be out calling at daylight thursday morning. Would really like to beat my record this year.

I have a few on my property in OKC and see them occasionally. Last night I was sitting in my truck talking to a friend of mine when one walked out onto my driveway, looked both ways, and walked into one of my foodplots. I dont plan on harvesting any of them because they help control my pack rat population.

ive never hunted them, but ive seen a couple over the years while out deer hunting. what all do u need to hunt them, just a hunting license and a furbearer license right? i may have to go buy the furbearer license just incase i see one while im out coyote hunting.
