Does anyone else find their firearm knowledge can make TV & movies less enjoyable?
I recently rewatched the Heroes series and found myself complaining about the firearm usage on the show at least once every three episodes. For example, "Why in the world was he chasing someone without a round in the chamber?" (Bennett waited till the chase got serious, THEN racked the slide.)
Then last night I was watching the first episode of Eureka again. Deputy Lupo, who is supposed to be a firearms expert, is sitting in front of a reloading press and loading what was probably 9mm FMJ. But the cases were green coated, which would mean they were steel and not reloadable. Then she started to measure out copper shot...
My wife justs laughs at me when I start complaining about it. At least someone is amused.
