Normally the yearly superbug scares do not worry me in the least but I will admit this one has been a bit concerned. They do not know how it spreads only that it spreads easy, and as far as they know it has a 65% fatality rate.

I saw that and it is true, but many of the patients are becoming infected in hospitals and of those the rate is still around 65%.

They didn't break down the fatality rate for hospitals vs general. It was 65% in SA, in general, of which they said the data they have could be skewed.

Yea, it's been getting worse since we last talked about it on here. I'm just waiting for someone to hop a plane here & it start popping up. What sucks is the reported cases in Jordan means our troops currently on the ground there could be exposed to it & possibly be carriers when they come home as well. With them not knowing how exactly it spreads & how to stop it this could turn bad real quick at any moment.

Exactly!!!! Even if the final fatality rate turns out to be in the 30% range, it would still be far worse then the SARS scare which only had an 8% fatality rate.
