I've noticed a lot of survivalist shows on the boob tube lately.
Some are interesting. Some are hokey.
What is your opinion of their methods?
Who is your favorite TV "survivalist"?

My favorite survivalist is Les Stroud. Barring those stupid Bigfoot episodes, Survivorman is a great series and cuts out all the BS.

YUKON MEN filmed in Tanana, Alaska very neat place. They dramatize things a little bit but it's a pretty true to life representation.

My opinion is the "survivalist shows" are just entertainment. Designed to keep your attention between comercials.

I think the preformer/singer Jewel is their daughter or closely related.
