Go take a walk through an older cemetery. Like late 1800s. Then tell me about how dangerous vaccines are. Nothing like having 8 children hoping 2 or 3 make it to adulthood.
Vaccinations are one of the most amazing developments in history, They aren't perfect. Part of their effectiveness depends on everyone getting them, a "Herd immunity". Sometimes, rarely, something goes wrong. On the balance though the good they do is overwhelming greater than any harm.
I know several otherwise intelligent people that don't get their children vaccinated. Their basis seems to be a belief in apocryphal stories of harm done to af friend of a friend of a friend's child that has been blamed on vaccination with no causal link other than a vaccination occurred sometime before the problem. Seems to be a quirk of reasoning to give more credence to such emotional stories over dry mathematics that say otherwise.
