Praying Mantis are ruthless

Probably should have recorded more, but saw this little fella the other day having a snack.

It was around 1982 I seen one that had a cicada cornered/backed up in a tree and it was slamming it's spiked arms into the cicada trying to kill it.
Cicada was screaming for dear life.

I knew then those insects were some bad dudes.

They go for hummingbirds as well. So, if you are feeding the Hummers, keep an eye out for the Mantis. They will get up on the feeder and attack the bird when they come to feed.
