You don't get to shoot until empty, go find a reload, then chase the robber outside, and then shoot at him as he's running away, and to shoot someone who is already down isn't going to work out in your favor either The threat ended as soon as one robber left the building and the other was down and out. Why is that hard to understand?

If someone comes robbing and terrorizing with a weapon they get no sympathy from me when a citizen takes care of business. Do you think those criminals would have given him the same consideration if they had won that match ?

Of course not, that's part of what makes them criminals. I have no problem with defending life and property, but there is a line and Ersland crossed it.

We will agree to disagree he didn't ask to be terrorized at gun point. Shame no one on the jury had the stones to nullify that verdict.

You think it's ok to execute someone? Because that's what he did. He also sent a bunch of rounds out of his front door that luckily didn't hit any bystanders. What he should've done was be a better shot and avoided the trial.

You think its ok to rob a store at gun point full of customers ? That's what happened again we aren't going to agree at all on this . I have zero sympathy for violent criminals.

No one has sympathy for violent criminals. But self defense & murder are very different. Sadly, I’ve seen lots of folks on here endorse murder. This is just another example .
The above proves you have more sympathy for violent criminals than the victims of their crimes . As I said we just aren't going to agree no point in continuing

Damn! You were a cop in '66?? **** me. You ARE an OLD fart ... 😳😉😂😘

I was 9 ... 🤦

But you wanna hear something funny?? I remember when that ruling came down. My uncle by marriage was a criminal defense attorney in OKC. He was happy as a bug in a rug with Miranda. Said he never expected an "ignorant ne'er-do-well" to make his job so easy. When we heard he had died he said "Bastard probably had it coming." Haha! He is a big part of the reason I learned to think like a lawyer before I really even knew what a lawyer was. He was a really nice guy.
No, I was 10 in 66. I was in college in 76 and was referring ti Miranda's death being ironic.
