There are 3 levels of our affiliate program that you can participate in. They are listed below along with the details of each program. Advertising banners show up at the bottom of every page viewed on the main website front end, and in threads posted on our forums. In April of 2007, we had over 6.7 million hits. We reserve the right to refuse any advertising we deem unsuitable for our membership.
We ask that with all levels of advertising, please provide a link back to us here at the OSA.
Advertiser
This level provides you with banner placement on both the front web and the message board. Current pricing for this type of ad is $50 per month. You can pay for any increment of time (in 1 month increments) up to a maximum of 12 months*. (See below on commitment periods.)
This is kind of a set it and forget it program as no additional work is necessary on your part.

You don't have to have a firearms-related business to utilize this ad space.
Sponsor
This is an alternative to the Advertiser program and has a slightly higher commitment level. You get everything from the Advertiser program but instead of a monthly fee, you provide the same value or higher in direct benefit to the membership over the same 12-month period.
You can provide any firearms-related products such as Ammunition, Holsters, Guns, Cases, Supplies, or other related products or services of equal or higher value directly to the membership via a raffle, gift certificate, drawing, or other mechanism of your choice.
This requires a higher level of participation on the part of the advertiser, but offers a higher reward. This level is only available to firearms-related businesses and services. Participation in our community is encouraged but not required.
Benefits:

Every time you hold a raffle or give away something, you are drawing a renewed interest to your site and/or store.

Giving away smaller cost items more often to complete your commitment can be a highly effective draw for the membership and keeps you fresh in their minds when shopping for items you carry.
Associate
This level is a full embrace and has a higher commitment level. You get a measure of integration with OSA along with your own menu spot. It combines the benefits of the previous levels as well as adding integration.
This is an annual-based program only with a financial commitment that is double that of the current Advertiser program rate. (This can be provided as a direct-benefit value to the membership or monetary fee based.)
A Sponsor is also an active member in our community, participating in our message forums, answering questions, possibly writing some articles and sharing knowledge. This level also provides a small amount of exclusivity**.
This level is only available to firearms-related businesses and services.

Exclusivity** in your town; only one Associate position per type of business or service will be allowed per area.

Menu spot pointing to a static page summarizing your business with links.

All the benefits of previous levels apply.
* Advertising fees are recalculated every 12 months and are based on site activity and popularity. This information is provided to the advertiser on a continual basis. You are guaranteed not to have any rate increases for 12 months (or for however many months you purchase if less than 12 months) from the time you start your advertising account, as long as your account is in good standing. Once your account has expired either from your term of agreement or your 12 month period is up, whichever comes first, your new rate will be based on the current advertising fee level, and your 12-month rate guarantee starts at that new point.
** Exclusivity on the Associate program allows for "Associate competition protection" and is based on the City, plus surrounding Suburbs of the area in which the Associate does business. The protection is that two companies providing the exact same service and in the same town can not both be an OSA Associate. For example, if a company which makes custom guns in Tulsa becomes an Associate, we will not accept another company in Tulsa who also makes custom guns as an Associate. The second company can be an Advertiser or Sponsor, but the custom gun making Associate slot for Tulsa has been filled at that point. However we can accept a custom gun maker as an Associate for the Oklahoma City area. If the option to renew at the end of 12 months is not exercised by the first company, the slot then becomes open to the second company as a right of first refusal, then to anyone if not taken.
