The Blaz-a-Thon

I experienced a little bit of "the wild life" this weekend. I left town about noon on Friday to attend the "23rd annual Blaz-a-thon state championship Barbecue competition", held at the Elks Lodge in Stillwater. My neighbor Mike was entered in it again this year. This was his second year competing in it, and my second visit also as "support" personnel. Took the wife on a vacation last week to Branson. We hadn't been there in over 20 years and found it's really changed. I guess I should say it's grown. Got there on a Thursday afternoon, which wound up being the best day of our stay there. The cold and the rain over the next 3 days shut down all the outdoor activities like the go-carts, and mini-golf. We had a pretty good time inside anyway, visiting the Titanic museum, Hollywood wax museum, Ripley's, as well as a round of indoor mini-golf. Then
