Looking for an inexpensive 22 revolver just for snake shooting.

I'm a huge fan of revolvers. I actually don't own an auto. However, if I wanted a handgun for the express purpose of shooting venomous snakes, I don't think I'd pick a .22 revolver. If I were insistent on a .22, I'd probably be lighting off quite a few rounds and would want something with a longish barrel and a magazine (a Mark III or maybe a Buckmark). Ideally, I'd want something that would shoot a .410 shell.

In my salad days, I used to hang out at a pretty snaky ranch. I always had my .357 on my hip and I alternated hollow points with snake shot rounds--three of each. Walking up on rattlesnakes was very little fun.

But, I really do like .22 revolvers. I just don't trust my aim or steadiness when looking at the business end of a copperhead or rattler.

Are you still in the market for a cheap .22/.22 mag? PM me if you are. I purchased a pair of Heritage revolvers and don't need both of them.
