I recently picked up a hi-power clone and shot it for the first time today. It is amazingly accurate and comfortable to shoot, except...my fat webbed hand gets between the frame and the hammer during cycling of the slide. While there is enough clearance that it doesn't hurt, it is a little annoying and after a few magazines full of ammo it has definately left a sore spot. Any suggestions to eliminate this? It has the big round hammer, would a spur hammer work better?

A previous owner spent a great amount of time and money on upgrades for this thing, white dot sights, extended slide catch and safety, Hogue grips but the best one of all is a beautiful trigger pull, so i'm inclined to keep the hammer that's in it and just mod the underside like Glocktogo suggested. Thanks all for the insight.

Did they remove the magazine safety? That seems to help the HP triggers too.

True, but taking out the mag safety on the HP can. I was wondering if the previous owner did that.

When Behlert tuned my Browning I asked him to do that. Really helped.
