Glad you like it! I had forgotten Browning was making these. The one with the extended and threaded barrel interests me, although it is a little pricey. Would make a candidate for a cool suppressor.

My little Browning got it's first victim the other day. Was looking out across a field pondering world affairs and saw what I first thought was a rabbit rummaging around. After a little closer look I saw it was an armadillo. Ran in, grabbed the little browning and poof no more digging armadillo.

When I get back to Tulsa I will shoot a photo of my Browning but it looks just like pictures on the net.

Yep. Corbon ammo in mine. 90 grain at 1050fps and Hornady critical defense, 90 grain at 1000fps is available.
I've been looking at the Browning Black Label 380. I like the 380 as concealed carry because of what I wear to work everyday and I'm okay with the cal just fine. Use my Bersa Thunder now and really like it (very accurate), but I love 1911's. Question is, how accurate is it? Have you carried it IWB?

Carries well in the waist band. Appendix carry for me. Accuracy is great for a compact pistol.

Thanks. Outside waist band I carry my full size 1911 SA ROO, CZ or Glock. For me they are just too noticeable IWB and uncomfortable. My Bersa is about right but love the sleek look of the 1911 in 380. I know a bunch of people hate this cal, but the ballistics are very good and with the right ammo, will do all that needs to be done (in my opinion only).
Thanks again for the response. What holster do you use?

I am looking forward to getting my Browning 1911-22. My mom's fiance' has a small arsenal (close to 40 rifles and 30 handguns), and he has told me that he is giving up hunting and just wants to fish, so he is going to be giving most of his guns away to family members that want them (he doesn't want to sell them because he is loaded). He said he wants me to have his Browning special anniversary 1911-22 because it is one of his favorite handguns. He has already given me a Marlin .22, model 795, a Browning .22 Buck Mark, and a KelTec PMR-30.

So I did a search and found this thread. Held one of these today. I didn’t know it was an alloy frame. That thing weighs nothing! If I hadn’t bought another pistol earlier, it would have come home with me. So you guys that have them, what’s your opinion after a few years?
