Must have been a hollow casting to come apart like that. I've watched a couple of video's where the guy launches an anvil 200' into the air, but its solid steel.
Tannerite is fun stuff!

Blacksmiths call the HF stuff "ASO's"...or Anvil Shaped Objects. It was cast and definitely had impurities/cavities in the casting. I was not willing to risk my real anvils for this experiment. It was actually packed with blackpowder and lit with a fuse.
