I searched long and hard for what "I" considered the perfect EDC knife......first, purchased a Chris Reeve's Sebenza. Love the knife but have had some problems with it. Then, went to the "big" gun show in Tulsa and found this. It is a Protech Godfather. Love everything about it and have been carrying it for about a year and a half. For me it is perfect; size, weight, thickness, lack of bumps/buldges, sharpness. What I really love about this knife is it's ease and comfort of carrying. Once it's in your pocket, you forget it's there. I looked at several auto knives and quiet frankly I was very disappointed in how "most" of them locked out and the play in the blade when opened. My Godfather locks out nice and tight with zero wiggle in the blade.

Kershaw Tanto Blur for me...the only thing that would make it better to me was if it was a damascus blade.
I tried an Emerson and did not care for the feel, and it cost a LOT more.
I'm a huge fan of Kershaw, tons of quality for the price.

I lose half a dozen a year, so I go with a cheapie from Wally's. It suffices for everyday stuff and I got 5 of them for $10. So when I lose one, need not be upset about it. . There's a Leatherman Signal in the BOb, which is always jn the car.

A true tactical airsoft operator ninja would never lose his gear and risk it getting into the hands of the enemy.

I've carried a lot of folders in my day, a number of Coldsteel, kershaw, some sogs, an Emerson, KA-BAR, crkt, and more entry to mid levelish . Never went the level of Benchmade or spyderco. But then a few months ago I picked up a BK14 with scales for $30 on here and have not looked back since. Fits in front pocket, change pocket, or on the belt all day with no issues. I love fixed blade reliability and it carries better then a lot of folders I have used.

I carry a Swamp Rat Ratmandu fixed blade and a Scrap Yard Scrapivore neck knife.

A large fixed blade gives me that warm feeling inside
