Counter Custody Entry Module - Ed Calderon of Ed's Manifesto

Developed by security specialists operating south of the US border where kidnapping and ransom are common, the Black Box methodology is a direct and aggressive system designed to help you survive in locations that offer an uncertain degree of safety and little support from official channels. The intensive Black Box curriculum will force you to understand the perspective of the abductor and the experience of an abductee through high-pressure, situation-based training.

Students will learn to observe, identify and overcome the tactics of assault and abduction, with limited resources, tools or support. From improvised weapons to the garrote, evading pursuit to confronting multiple opponents, students will leave Black Box more likely to avoid and survive criminal assault.

This intensive course will provide high-pressure situation-based training.

COUNTER CUSTODY ELEMENTS - ENTRY

DAY ONE
Anatomy of an Abduction.
The Abductee Experience.
Specifics of Movement in a Non-Permissive Environment.
Escapology Tools and Concealment.

DAY TWO
Immersion Exercise.
Endemic Criminal Methodology Overview.
Free hand options and entanglement.
Improvised Edged Weapons.
The Hunt Final Exercise.

ED CALDERON:

Ed is a security specialist and combatives instructor with over 10 years experience in public safety along the northern border area of Mexico. He runs seminars and private training specific to anti-abduction, escapology, free hand and unconventional edged weapons work. He is also director of Libre Fighting Systems in Mexico. Those students attending Ed's Counter Custody course with us will also be able to sign up for a 4-hour trauma care block on Friday evening from 1700 - 2100. This block will cover bleeding control with a focus on commercial and improvised tourniquets, and pressure dressings. Other topics may be covered if time allows. We've received a few questions via the website about this class, so I'm posting the info here to hopefully save folks some time.

There is no prior experience of any kind required to take this class, just a desire to learn.
The course will immerse students in stressful and uncomfortable scenarios, but it's a training environment. That means that the realism will be kept at a level that is still conducive to learning.
The only thing besides a teachable attitude that you have to bring to the class are: Flashlight, note taking materials, and come wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
As with all classes, I recommend bringing snacks and water, OTC meds, boo boo kit, etc.

Please let us know if you have other questions.

Only 5 seats remain! Claim yours before they're gone.

Students attending the Counter Custody Module will also be able to attend a 4-hour trauma care module on the evening of Friday, November 18th. The course will cover bleeding control topics to include pressure points, tourniquets, pressure dressings, patient assessments, etc. The course will not only focus on commercial interventions, but improvised techniques, as well. The instructor is a former Army Special Operations Medical Sergeant and currently practicing anesthesia professional. Course cost will be $50, and students will receive a coupon code for 10% off of supplies from Rescue Essentials.

Proceeds above and beyond the cost of supplies for the course will be donated to the Global Surgical and Medical Services Group, a 501(c)3 non-profit serving the medical and trauma care needs of communities in conflict areas around the world. http://www.gsmsg.org/

Registration for the Counter Custody Entry Module is winding down. Seats are filling up weekly, and registration ends on November 5th. Reserve your seat for both classes through our web store as soon as possible! http://www.paratus46.net/store

We're ordering the Serepick kits on Monday. Registration will remain open after this for the few remaining seats, but anyone who signs up after Sunday will have to source his own kit directly from Serepick. Save yourself some money, and still get in on this valuable training opportunity, by registering no later than Sunday the 6th.

SEREPick kits are ordered. I'm happy to report that we got 5 OK students signed up for this class! The record for distance travelled will go to a student from Denmark.

We still have a couple of seats available. You'll have to source your own kit at this point, but you still have time to register and get it ordered before the class. Do so quickly, though, to make sure it gets here on time.
