about combat, hmm? They trained hundreds of commandos who gave them LOTS of feedback, and Fairbairn had trained the Shanghai cops prior to ww2. They knew how to get the most out of the very limited amount of training ammo and time that was given them. and they damned sure knew that you don't have to completely penetrate an organ in order to ruin it.
you aint a cop and you wont be shooting thru cars or pursuing any attackers. Hopefully (but not likely) you wont completely miss the guy with half of your shots, at 5 yds, like the cops do. To settle for rds that don't expand, wasting power, on the far more likely fully exposed, frontal shot civilans have to make (rarely, normally just the sight of the gun is enough) in order to shoot thru stuff you wont be shooting thru, is madness.

Well, I'm not a punk, but I still know a hell of a lot about individual and small unit tactics. Is there something in particular about combat tactics I can help you with? I find little use for most "combat tactics" in the civilian realm, but there are some fundamentals that still apply. Basic marksmanship, situational awareness, improvised weapons, and first aid come to mind. Just ask, and I'll be happy to either help you with the right answer out or point you to the right source for information.
