Saw that www.glockparts.com has a new (-) OEM connector for the G42/43. I put a Ghost Edge Connector in mine last year and it works great, still, I am interested in this because it's a GLOCK OEM part. They are out of stock right now it seems, but I asked to be notified when available. Has anybody dropped one of these particular GLOCK (-) connectors in their 42/43 and what are your thoughts?

I'd like to check one out. BTW, off topic, but does your G43 mag release dig into your right, middle finger when shooting it? My middle finger lands right on the corner of the mag release, and I'm wondering if anyone else notices it.

Nope, never noticed any problem like that at all.

I have been reading a lot about this lately and it seems they shipped some out that were either worse or same as early factory connectors. The new ones come with a lower pull weight than the older ones. The part number is supposed to be 33564. But the ones with the - marked are supposed to be the mistake from what Im reading. It seems that the part #33564 unmarked is the one to go with but you might look around. I would like to get my hands on one as soon as I find one. Here is a link to a thread on another forum that is pretty in depth if you get time to read it. Let me know what you think on the subject if you think Im mistaken.

Interesting. And no, I don't think you are mistaken at all. Still, I'll probably get one and see for myself how it worked; just check it out, and if it's funky, just put the stock one one or the Ghost Edge back in.

Wow. Are there REALLY shooters whose trigger finger can feel the tactile difference of .5 lbs of force on a curved surface with non-linear movement?????

I have to again confess to being the oldest, dumbest rookie to ever own a pistol, I suppose, but if I ever get that anal about a GUN , I hope someone uses it on me to end an obvious perverse obsession.....

(No offense intended to anyone, I'm just trying to understand where my "NEED" to know bumps up against brain-numbing differentiation of minutiae of little meaning.)

When you get to shooting them a lot and get your fundamentals down quite solid you may get to a point where the quality of the trigger pull actually affects your shot placement or groups. I have practiced enough lately that I thought I may be getting to the point that a better trigger may actually add to what I can do. So since trigger jobs on Glocks are stupid simple and the combination is endless and everything is reversable, I bit the bullet and did a little more work than my usual $.25 trigger job. My groups shrunk by 1/2 at 15 yards which were pretty good to start with. Now Im on the road to improving all my Glock triggers.
No offense taken and Im more than happy to share any information and I as well enjoy learning.

.5 lb is quite noticeable on triggers, otherwise we'd all be using .5 lb more than we are.

True. And the 0.5 lb difference seems to be less, the heavier the trigger pull is to begin with, and greater, the lower the trigger pull is to begin with.

Example: if you have a heavy trigger at 10 lbs, the difference in 0.5 lb either way won't be noticed as much as compared to a lighter trigger weight of say 4.0 lbs

My Example of "Comparative" Feel: (I might be all wrong here and I don't even know if comparative is a word but what the heck; it sounds good to me!)

0.5 lb = 1/20th of a trigger that measures 10 lbs
0.5 lb = 1/8th of a trigger that measures 4 lbs

Make any sense?
