I was selected about a year ago for a juvenile case. It was the state of Oklahoma's attempt to permanently revoke a young mothers rights to her 8 month old child. The baby was diagnosed with 13 broken bones at 8 weeks old. It was a very emotional trial that lasted a full week. The jurors were all escorted to and from our cars all week due to the violent background of the mother's boyfriend. The mother's rights were permanently revoked after less than an hour of deliberation. NOT a fun one at all!

Served for 3 weeks years ago in Federal Western Distr court. Called again for County court but never called for a case.

Wife served on a case of a child killed in a car accident in county court.

Also what is with the all rise thing? Judges arent anyone special... They are private citizens just like you and I.
Your correct under current jury regs. Back in the day it was from property tax rolls. Renters got a pass so they changed it to DL's.

Well I got out of Jury duty. Judge was kind of rude to several people. After mispronouncing my name I stood up an said my name. He interrupts me and says "I need you to come here whoever you are." Then I go up to the podium and and stand for a moment and he says "Not there come up to me" Like I should somehow know that. Ive never been in a courtroom. (Btw this courtroom pretty cluttered and dirty. No pride in ownership with the Government.) After looking like an idiot I walk up to the bench and he tells me I am excused. Prior to that he got snappy with a resident alien who had trouble reading. Apparently he was supposed to give his paper to the clerk and he wouldnt of had to wait for the judge.

Anyways kind of odd. Glad I got out of it just turned off by the judge.

Off to go change my address on my licence... dont want the government to lose tabs on me...

My wife was called for duty and after driving 45 miles for 11 days for the trial, the jury was sent to decide the fate of the accused, during that time the DA and Attorney decided to take a plea, talk about wasting the Courts time.

I have been sent notices several times, I have tossed them in the trash. Now before you guys decide I should be expelled to a different state let me splain this. I live in Osage County, I get my drivers lic. in Kay County, they send me a jury summons with a note on the letter ..... "not to be mailed out of Kay County"

I would like to be part of the jury process, but due to physical problems I am now exempted.
