I'd rather be able to grip the gun properly and control the guns recoil than have a trigger that's been worked over. I think we get too wrapped up in the minutiae of how or why this trigger feels better than that one before we totally understand or even begin to master the fudamentals of marksmanship.
Bravo.

This..

But since you asked, this is what I do.

For competition mine always had a (-) connector, a lightened firing pin safety spring and polish. That gave me a crisp break and solid reset.

For carry I run a (-) connector and a polish. Gives the factory feel break and reset but with a lighter pull.

If you run all lightened springs, you won't feel much of a wall. There are different combinations but I can honestly say that no two glocks are the same....

Me too. Got that part down a long time ago.

In regards to the second comment though..... what I find is that a vast majority of individuals that do master fundamentals, end up going with something other than a stock platform? More power to them if they don't. Liken it to working smarter instead of harder, especially when your time is limited.

You know I always hated that "whole work smarter not harder" thing. Hell, if I'd been smarter, I wouldn't have had to work so damn hard in the first place. I hit the smart limit a long time ago. You only get so much to work with you know.

I wouldn't say I mastered the fundamentals, but would think I'm a decent shot. So to answer your question, yes I do change the stock platform.

There is no vast majority of individuals that master the fundamentals.
Everyone thinks they are better that they are. Most guys that go looking for a nicer trigger are looking for a shortcut. These aluminum triggers you see these days are just guys who think those good guys are running these enhanced triggers. They are running them sure, but they're also selling them

Most accomplished shooters do from what I've seen, that's all I'm saying.

True, ego plays a part in the mentality of several aspects of the gun world. Don't know about guys selling or promoting stuff, that's not what I'm talking about here. In terms of short cuts, oh I'd bet that's a glass house around here. However, if people feel the need to work around a bone stock trigger for some sense of accomplishment, then more power to them.

Ill never understand why the same people that put aftermarket triggers in every long gun they have frown upon people that do the same thing in a handgun. I have more aftermarket triggers in handguns than rifles.
