Just using this as a conversation starter, as I am very bored at the moment, but what the hey...
Anyone else here have a special place in their heart for their Mosin Nagant? If not, what old school rifles do you enjoy the most?
Taiwanese M16 is known as (originally) the Type 65, a later model is called the Type 75. The original two were largely based upon the orignial M16, and some would say that the 75 is an outright rip-off. If I recall correctly, they bought the rights to manufacture their own, and is currently...
...wonder who that could be??? :P Whether it was me or not you are refering to, (I am assuming it is me because I don't own a car atm. What can I say? My parents weren't around to teach me how to drive and I have been living on my own since I was 17. Plus I am saving a ridiculous amount of money...
Hrm, bought my Mosin Nagant when I was 18, (private sale about a year ago). My firend bought a SW MP15 from Cabella's when he was 18. I honestly don't see a problem with selling to 18+ year olds beyond using good judgement. If I owned a gun shop, I would have no problem selling to a responsible...
As far as 338 Lap goes, just about anything. I am more interested in trying out the cartridge than specific guns.
As far as anything else goes... I am looking at Zastava M76 7.92x57mm, HK SL8 5.56x45mm, SIG 556 (friend had one and it was soooo fun), Old school M14 7.62x45mm, a civilian...
Oh, personally I love the 7.62x54mm. I just like having the experience in a variety in firearms and cartridges, should I ever need it. Plus, as much as I love the Mosin Nagant, you gotta try something else once in a while! :)
Anyone know if there are semi-auto versions (legal, I mean) of these things? I have a taste for more exotic looking weapons, and this one caught my eye. Unfortunately, information on these things seems to be sketchy at best. Any help would be most appreciated!
Oh, I just shoot for recreation. Most of the time I either shoot milk jugs filled with water (the fun way to recycle!) or paper targets when sighting or shooting for accuracy. I've been seriously thinking about getting into competition shooting for a while, though. I can be a decent shot (at...
Had a friend who had one, (sig 556, that is) let me shoot it once in a while. I fell in love with the thing! Two things to note though: Its maybe a pound or two heavier than your average AR of the same size, and the front is a bit heavier thanks to the piston. I actually liked it being front...
I've been looking for one of these yugoslav rifles for a long while now... Most books and listings say it should sell for roughly 700$ stock, but 1200$ if the scope is included... I've only found one of these things, but that was for 1700$ stock. So I am just wondering if anyone knows of any...
Well, as the title says, I am (kind of) fresh off the greyhound and looking for good places to shoot and good stores to shop at. At the moment, I'm kind of stranded in Jenks, as I only have a bicycle and occasionally borrow a friend's car, but any information will be most helpful for future...
