Anyone have an opinion on which particular sections of the river are considered the best for largemouth and smallmouth bass fishing this time of the year?
Is it just me, or did it seem like there were a lot more young birds than usual?
There also were a lot more birds than I expected during a drought-- maybe the northern birds are already passing through?
In north central Texas, during the summer months casting for bass from shore was useless, unless you fished just before sun up to about 8:30 AM.
Is it pretty much the same around here?
Thanks, guys. I will give Outdoor America and King's Pawn a try.

New to OK, so just learning the ropes. Is there a shop in/near OK City that stocks a good variety of .22 LR and Mag ammo?
I,ve tried H&H, Heartland, Bass Pro and Academy, and so far have found nothing even approaching a good selection of .22 ammo.
Thanks for your help.

"Hardcast lead would probably be harder. "
I thought so, too. But at the OKC gun show last weekend, the fellow selling bullets for guys who roll their own told me copper bullets were harder than Federal CastCore lead. It probably depends on the specific alloy used. In any case, I don't reload...
