There is a watch repair shop here in Claremore on the 2nd story of the Streeter building downtown.
I don't know anything about it, my last quartz watch with battery was a Seiko which I still have but
never wear any more since I just use my smartphone.
I bought one today at the Claremore Atwood's. They only had 2, one 6" barrel and one
4" barrel. I liked the 4" best and bought it and shot it today. Seems pretty accurate.
I think I will get the 22 WMR cylinder for it later.
I noticed on the local tv station news they said Pearl Harbor was attacked but didn't mention
it was the Japs who attacked us. I guess it isn't politically correct to mention who it was who
attacked us. Not one mention of the Japs during the whole broadcast.
I have a ota cheapo antenna here in Claremore and get 2, 6 and 8 fine. Plus 20 some
others. Most of them are worthless. The internet is the way to go for tv these days.
OTA's days are probably numbered. Takes a lot of power to run them, whereas
internet a lot cheaper.
Go to a audiologist, who is a 4 year trained real doctor, but be prepared to pay
lots for hearing aids. They could cost around 5k or so. I have ReSound hearing
aids and they work fine. They have bluetooth and have a smartphone ap so you
can control noise, enhance speech, restaurant setting...
I remember listening to XERF in Del Rio TX on my car radio back in the 50's and 60's.
Wolfman Jack I think and lots of radio preachers. It always came in good here in
Oklahoma at night.
I placed an ad once on FB and received dozens of "is it still for sale" Only one
seemingly legit ad and he never showed up. I deleted the ad and won't use
FB again.
I live in Claremore and have lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years and it's
been the same all those years. The electric system sucks. There are outages
all the time. But the voters keep the same bunch in charge so it will never change.
I think the only way to change it, would be sell...
At least he's wearing shoes and not sandals. Most of those guys I'm seen on those
videos are wearing sandals or barefeet. He probably dropped some of that solder
on his feet in the past!
I have been in it in Chicago and it's a fascinating tour. They had lead code books and
logs and lot's of other equipment from the sub. If you ever get to Chicago and like
this kind of history, go see it.
410A is $95 a pound from the hvac techs I use. They said in 2025 there will be a new freon out. 410A is being
phased out now. So the price will just go up. If you search the web there are drop in refrigerants for R22,
410A etc. They are a lot cheaper. I have heard some guys just use...
