I have had several kimbers and springfield and both worked great. I would prefer Kimber out of those 2. That being said if I bought a new one I would probably look at colt.

The ammo I was shooting was .223. You can shoot 223 in a 5.56 safely right?

What exactly is the difference between 223 and 5.56

I am wondering the same thing. The first round that was stuck looked like the case had swollen. I guess I'll try some different ammo and see if it makes a difference. I meant to last night, and got out there and realized I only had a batch of the same stuff.

The first time, the ring was barely bent, so I straigthened it and tried it again. After about 10 -12 rounds it led to a pretty mangled ring, which I then replaced all of them. The last time I shot it, after seven rounds it led to a barely bent ring again. I just replaced the ring again. All...

It has a 5" flash suppressor that makes it over 16" long in total length. I was told by several that this makes it legal.

I didn't build the gun. I took it on a trade. Is the barrel length a problem on that lower? I am fairly new to the AR platform. Yes, the gas rings.

I received an AR in a trade that consists of plum crazy lower and a rock river upper. It has an 11" shaw heavy barrel. The first few times taking it out, it shot great. The last couple of times it has been bending the rings on the bolt, causing it to lock up. Can anyone offer any suggestions...
