I'm also on the CitrusStrip bandwagon. I'm doing a large hall tree at the moment. Scrape it when it dries, use a plastic bristle brush on contoured areas, and sand to your heart's content.
That's funny AirMech, I've had conversations with 18-20 year old adults where I work that seem to think shotguns aren't lethal past 15 feet "in real life" because Modern Warfare is so realistic.
Mission Avionics Integration extraordinaire...was supposed to do Networking/Combat Comm for the Air Force, but instead have spent 6 years as an E-3 maintainer. Get to see some interesting places, and I only get yelled at sometimes.
I appreciate it. I have been in touch with the HOA president, and he wanted me to gather some options for him so we could discuss it at our next meeting. Let me give him a shout and see what he says. Thanks for the response!
So, this year has been especially bad. Out back of my house, our HOA owns a pond. Its probably 1/4-1/2 acre, and fills with rain/drainage. In the spring and fall, and of course winter, there isn't much that grows, but in the summer, we get massive clusters of yellow/golden-brown/green algae. Its...
I have one I bought a few years back. A buddy and I called them and ordered a set of 9mm/7.62x25 Sterlings. Both calibers etched on the rifles, and its a simple spring/barrel change to switch over. We got to take a tour of WiseLite and actually met Tony, great guy. I'm looking for a reason to go...
Had a great time with a Saturday/Sunday class almost 2 years ago. Those guys really know their stuff, the class was more than resonably priced, and I can't say that I've had very many weekends at the range that were as much fun.
There's a book you would probably enjoy if you don't have it already. Its a very interesting read and is packed full of archived documents, plans, maps, etc.

I would get a used copy. Its a book that got me researching all...
US: P-47
England: Spitfire
Germany: Ju-87
Russia: I-16
Japan: J1N1
P-47 could take a beating, Robert Johnson had an FW-190 run out of ammo trying to shoot his down while limping home. The Ju-87 is probably my favorite out of all though. I've always wanted to build a model of one, but I...
Had an hour or so before work today, so my buddy grabbed his FAL and we did a quick comparison. It appears as though I have an inch pattern upper on a metric lower. In addition to that, I disassembled the upper and lower to see how it was all functioning manually. The action itself works very...
For my girlfriend's Mosquito, we tried the Aguila 60 gr. subsonic loads after having lots of issues with even the CCI, and it cycles them amazingly. The only problem is its particularly dirty .22 ammo and I've had to boresnake rifles/handguns right there at the range because the fouling got so bad.
The Russians have been able to do some amazing things with aircraft in the past. Then again so have we. I imagine Sukhoi has been sucking as much funding as they can (cough...Lockheed) to add all sorts of bells and whistles without producing any sort of concrete product that actually functions...
Update: A friend sent me this link, lots of good info in here

Still going to get the camera out when I can, I'm sure a lot of you guys have more calibrated eyeballs than me.
Yeah, I'll see if I can find the digital camera and post some pics. Its a Century build. Gas plug was originally on the grenade setting, thought the fix would be that easy but it definitely wasn't.
I'd give it a good cleaning first, and while you take it apart, you can usually see if something is broken and needs a new part. I've used Mr. Tackle in the past to get hard to find spinning reel parts, didn't cost much, and two of my favorite reels got fixed. Had to get a new lever for the...
Couple of quick questions for any FAL guru's out there.
Backstory: Purchased an FAL from a friend a while back, knowing it would probably need a bit of work. It consistently will not eject, regardless of ammo or gas setting. I changed out the springs in both the upper and lower, no help. As...
