Brownell's Aluma-Hyde is a good spray on finish you can do yourself. You can either cure this finish with a heat source (like a hair dryer), or you can just be patient and let it sit for weeks to fully cure. Another option would simply be to spray it with any rattle can paint. There is a...
PSA has done right by me. I have seen people complain about their shipping times, but I feel that part of that is the fact that we are spoiled by Amazon Prime arriving in 2 days. I waited about 7 days for my order to come. It came, all the parts were there, and I had free shipping (some sort...
I am leaving feedback for my friend Ed and myself. Jeremy was excellent to deal with, and very fun to discuss guns and shooting with. I would highly recommend dealing with him.
Should you wish to clean your AK pattern rifle, the following link is a good YouTube video to guide you through the process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v1cDu7dElk

I have had three great experiences with transfers at the SSP location on the north side (and I am sure that the south side location does an equally good job). They get all my transfer business. Keep up the great work Sooner State Pawn.
If you don't mind shipping the revolver, Smith & Wesson themselves does a great job of re-bluing. Harsh Firearms (they are in Norman, http://harshfirearms.com/) does very good work with Cerakote. They could potentially come up with a look similar to the original blue or a custom creation. Two...
From your description, yes it probably was a police trade in, and you did pay too much for it. On the other hand, you learned lesson, and you have a great gun on hand. S&W third generation pistols are under appreciated. The 5906 is a good gun that is a lot of fun to shoot. Chalk this up to...
The recommendations for the Kuhnhausen book and Miculek video are good. I do generally warn against dropping the spring weight below 9 pounds because you run the risk of light primer strikes (the firing pin just dimples the primer and fails to set the round off). If you do go very light in...
The grip on the CS40 is very thin. This is nice for concealment, but for large handed shooters such as myself, this is problematic. I felt that my hand just enveloped the gun, and it was not comfortable. On the other hand, I felt that the grip on the 6946 (DAO 9MM equivalent of the 4013) was...
Thanks for the update on the Ultimak installation and the video post. I was skeptical about just how easy it would be to put the Ultimak on the AMD-65's unique fore-end.
On the Ultimak website, they mention that the lower hand guards of the AMD-65 will need to be modified in order for the optic mount to fit properly. The company says it is an easy modification, but I have never tried it. Please let us know how it goes, and what from your experience works best...
MrShooter, I like the look of the FDE frame and titanium slide. Is that Ceracote, and did you do it yourself? Also, what are the sights you have on the Glock?
