WOW....This thread took a wrong turn. The title says "FT Sill deer survey....Looks like a bad year" and then a few people went down the X-Bow road and how it is positive or negative. Ft Sill did not pass the law like the rest of the state allowing X-Bows only hunters with disabilities or note...

Not sure, they were running them in a S&W MP15P .22 and the Sig 552. They were just saying how much more reliable they were and fed really good.

I was watching Guns and Ammo tv last night and they were useing some new ammo from CCI. Its CCI Tactical AR 22LR . Its got 40gr bullets that are reshaped more rounded to feed better in AR's.I believe they said its Standard 22LR loads. I don't see it on the CCI website yet. Its sold in 375 rnd...

My single shot .410 has fixed choke, I am going to pattern 12ga with .410 gauge reducers tomorrow and see what works.

I usually hunt over decoys so I am always waiting for close shots even with a 12ga, I will give it a try opening day and see what happens, later in the season when they are a little more weary i will probably have to go with the 12ga.
